Accessibility Statement
The short version
We want every customer, job applicant, and visitor to be able to use our website and our stores comfortably and confidently. We work toward WCAG 2.1 Level AA conformance on kwikstations.com and comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act at our physical locations. If you run into a barrier, please tell us and we will do our best to fix it.
01Our Commitment
KWIK INC is committed to making our digital and physical presence accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. That commitment extends to our website at kwikstations.com, to the stores we operate across Arizona, and to the ways we communicate with customers, employees, applicants, vendors, and business partners.
For our website, we work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, the international standard referenced by the United States Department of Justice for digital accessibility. WCAG guidelines help make web content more usable for people with visual, auditory, motor, speech, cognitive, and neurological disabilities.
We treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished state. We do not claim that every page meets every criterion at every moment. We do claim that we take this seriously, we keep improving, and we welcome the feedback that helps us get better.
02What We've Built Into the Site
The current version of kwikstations.com is built with accessibility in mind. Features include:
- Semantic HTML structure with a logical heading hierarchy
- Keyboard navigation support for all interactive elements
- Descriptive link text so that links make sense out of context
- Alternative text for meaningful images
- Text that can be resized using browser controls without breaking the layout
- Responsive design that adapts to different devices, screen sizes, and zoom levels
- Respect for the "reduced motion" preference in your operating system, which minimizes animations when requested
- Color contrast that we regularly evaluate against WCAG targets
- Visible focus indicators for keyboard users
03Limitations We Acknowledge
We know the site is not perfect. Areas we are actively working on include continued improvements to focus indicators, clearer alternative text for decorative and complex visual elements, and broader testing with screen readers and other assistive technologies across browsers and operating systems. When we find a gap, we treat it as a priority to fix.
Our site also displays logos, imagery, and other content provided by brand partners and vendors. We aim to integrate third-party content in ways that meet the same accessibility standards we apply to our own work, but we do not always have full control over how that content behaves. If you encounter an issue that relates to third-party content, we still want to hear about it, and we will work with the provider to address it where we can.
04Physical Store Accessibility
Our retail stores are designed and operated to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state and local accessibility laws. This includes accessible parking, entrances, aisles, restrooms, and counters. If you encounter an accessibility challenge at one of our stores, please let us know so we can address it and, where appropriate, offer assistance in the meantime.
05How to Report an Accessibility Issue
If you encounter a barrier on our website or at one of our stores, please contact us. We take accessibility feedback seriously, and we want to make things right.
When reporting an issue, it helps if you can include:
- A description of the problem you experienced
- Where it happened (a URL, a page, or a store address)
- What you were trying to do
- The device, browser, or assistive technology you were using, if relevant
- How we can reach you with a response
Our response commitment: We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within ten (10) business days and to work with you toward a resolution. For urgent needs, we will do our best to provide an immediate alternative way to get the information or assistance you need.
06Alternative Ways to Reach Us
If you are unable to use part of our website, or if you would prefer to contact us in another way, please email accessibility@kwikstations.com and let us know what you need. We can provide store information, hours, and other details by email or, where possible, over the phone. If you need information in a different format, tell us what works for you and we will do our best to accommodate.
07Ongoing Review
We review this statement and the underlying work behind it periodically. When we update our accessibility practices or make meaningful changes to the site, we revise this statement and update the "Last reviewed" date above. If you have questions about a previous version, please contact us.
